Short answerA Niagara Falls boat ride costs more than the ticket. This calculator adds 13% HST, parking, bridge tolls, passes and add-ons, converts between US and Canadian dollars, and compares the total with the Toronto shared day tour. All prices are the published 2026 figures, checked October 17, 2026.

Assumptions you should know about

  • Exchange rate. The default of 1.417 is the Rainbow Bridge's posted ratio between its US and Canadian car tolls (US$6.00 = C$8.50). It illustrates the arithmetic and is not today's rate. Type your own rate to see a real comparison.
  • Tax. Niagara Parks says its prices exclude 13% HST, so the tool adds it to Niagara City Cruises and Niagara Parks attractions. WEGO fares include tax. Where a source does not state tax treatment (Skylon, SkyWheel, our day tour), the tool uses a stated assumption or shows listed prices.
  • Seniors. Neither boat publishes a senior fare: Niagara City Cruises says it offers no student or senior discounts, and Maid of the Mist lists none, so seniors are priced as adults.
  • Missing data. We could not find Clifton Hill lot rates or Niagara Parks' Falls Parking Lot A rate (listed as variable), so they are not estimated. Hotels, meals, fuel and tips are not included.
  • Fares change. Both operators can change prices each season; 2027 prices are not published.

Worked examples

Two adults on the Canadian side taking Niagara City Cruises with Journey Behind the Falls: 2 x C$47.95 = C$95.90, plus 2 x C$33.00 = C$66.00, a subtotal of C$161.90, plus 13% HST of C$21.05, for C$182.95 before parking. The same two adults riding Maid of the Mist at the illustrative ratio pay US$60.50, which is about C$85.73. That is a fare comparison only: it leaves out the border and the parking differences, which is why the tool lets you add them.

If you start from Toronto, compare against the shared day tour, which bundles coach transport, a maple syrup tasting, Niagara-on-the-Lake and free time at the falls, with the boat as an optional add-on. For parking detail see the parking guide, and for passes see passes and discounts.
