Searchers looking for a boat tour discount often land on pass pages, and the honest answer is that the Canadian pass does not cover the boat at all. It covers the other Niagara Parks attractions, plus buses and parking. This page works out when that is still worth buying, using only published prices. It is a companion to the things to do near Niagara Falls guide and the boat tour price page. All Canadian prices are in Canadian dollars and, unless stated, before 13% HST.
What the 2026 Niagara Falls Pass includes
The pass is a Niagara Parks product. Online purchases do not need an arrival date, and admissions can be spread over any number of days before the pass expires on November 1. You redeem it at any Niagara Parks attraction or welcome centre by showing your order confirmation. The age bands are adult 13 and over, child 3 to 12, and 2 and under free at every Niagara Parks attraction. Child pass prices were not listed on the pages we read.
| Tier | Adult price | Attractions | Transport and extras |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | $89 | Journey Behind the Falls, White Water Walk, and the Butterfly Conservatory (the presale page says Butterfly Conservatory or Floral Showhouse) | 2 days of WEGO and Falls Incline Railway; 2 days of Park & Ride parking |
| Plus | $109 | Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara Takes Flight, Power Station + Tunnel, White Water Walk, Whirlpool Aero Car | As Classic, plus the Niagara-on-the-Lake shuttle |
| Premium | $129 | Everything in Plus, plus Butterfly Conservatory, Floral Showhouse and four heritage sites (Old Fort Erie, Mackenzie Printery, McFarland House, Laura Secord Homestead) | 3 days of WEGO and parking, and the Niagara-on-the-Lake shuttle |
Niagara Parks states savings of 22%, 40% and 52% for the three tiers. We cannot see how those percentages were calculated, so we ran our own sums below. The Park & Ride benefit is free parking at Rapidsview Lot C (4555 Upper Rapids Rd), for online purchases only, with no overnight parking. It cannot be used at other Niagara Parks lots.
Two points of caution. First, the sources disagree on whether Classic includes the Butterfly Conservatory outright or lets you choose it or the Floral Showhouse; check at purchase. Second, no source states whether the pass prices include tax, and the attraction prices below are listed before tax. Our tables compare face values.
Attraction-by-attraction prices
These are the Niagara Parks standalone prices, adult (13 and over) and child (3 to 12), before tax, from the attraction pages. They are the numbers used in every calculation below.
| Attraction | Adult | Child | About | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Journey Behind the Falls | $33 | $21.50 | 60 min | $28 / $18.50 on the Falls Pass presale page; $33 / $21.50 on the attraction page. Redevelopment: heated platform and restored tunnel planned 2027, Rainbow Platform 2028; stays open. |
| Niagara Parks Power Station + Tunnel | $33 | $21.50 | 120 min | Premium Tour $53 / $34.50. |
| Niagara Takes Flight | $33 | $21.50 | 35 min | Flying theatre, opened Aug 2025, replaced Niagara's Fury (closed Sept 2024). Minimum height 100 cm, under 300 lb. |
| White Water Walk | $21 | $13.50 | 60 min | Seasonal, April to November. |
| Whirlpool Aero Car | $25 | $16.50 | 45 min | Seasonal; not wheelchair accessible (40 steps down and up). |
| Butterfly Conservatory | $25 | $16.50 | 60 min | |
| Floral Showhouse | $8.50 | $5.50 | 60 min |
A price conflict to know about. Journey Behind the Falls shows $33 adult and $21.50 child on its own attraction page, but $28 and $18.50 on the Falls Pass presale list. We do not know why. It could be a presale discount, or an out-of-date line. We calculate with $33 and show $28 as a sensitivity, so the pass looks no better than it is. The presale page also still lists Niagara's Fury, which closed in September 2024 and was replaced by Niagara Takes Flight; ignore that line. Our Journey Behind the Falls guide covers the attraction itself.
WEGO, the Falls Incline and Park & Ride
WEGO fares
WEGO is the Niagara Parks hop-on, hop-off bus. Fares include tax: adults pay $16 for 24 hours or $20 for 48 hours, and children 3 to 12 pay $12 or $16. Children 2 and under are free. The Falls Pass presale page lists the adult 48-hour fare as $17 rather than $20, so the sources conflict. A 24 or 48-hour WEGO pass also covers the Niagara-on-the-Lake shuttle. Strollers must be folded.
Falls Incline Railway fares
The Falls Incline Railway links the Fallsview area and Table Rock Centre. Fares are the same for all ages: $4 one way, $8 round trip, $10 all day, with 2 and under free. It is closed January 19 to February 13, when WEGO covers the route. It does not reach the boat dock. If you only need Fallsview and Table Rock both ways, the round-trip fare of $8 is half the 24-hour adult WEGO fare of $16.
Park & Ride and parking comparisons
Rapidsview Lot C costs $10 a day and is about 7 to 8 minutes by the WEGO Green Line to Table Rock. A family of two adults and two children on a 24-hour WEGO pass pays 2 x $16 + 2 x $12 = $56 for the buses, so Lot C plus buses is $66 for a day. By comparison, the Rainbow Bridge lot charges $12 an hour and is about a 10-minute walk from the Niagara City Cruises landing, so a three-hour visit costs $36 and a four-hour visit $48. For a short, boat-focused visit, the walk-up lot can be cheaper than Park & Ride; for a full day of attractions the arithmetic changes. Our boat tour parking guide has the full lot list.
Is a pass worth it? The break-even arithmetic
Each calculation compares the pass price with the cost of buying the same things separately, for one adult. A pass is worth it when the "separately" column is higher.
Classic ($89)
| Scenario | Working (adult, before tax) | Result against $89 |
|---|---|---|
| A. The three Classic attractions only (Journey Behind the Falls, White Water Walk, Butterfly Conservatory) | $33 + $21 + $25 = $79 | Pass costs $10 more |
| B. As A, plus 48-hour WEGO (adult $20) | $79 + $20 = $99 | Pass saves $10 |
| C. As B, but Journey Behind the Falls at the presale price of $28 | $28 + $21 + $25 + $20 = $94 | Pass saves $5 |
| D. As B, plus the Falls Incline all-day fare ($10) on both days | $99 + 2 x $10 = $119 | Pass saves $30 |
| E. As D, plus two days of Rapidsview Lot C parking ($10 a day), one vehicle | $119 + 2 x $10 = $139 | Pass saves $50 |
| F. Only two attractions (Journey Behind the Falls and White Water Walk) plus 48-hour WEGO | $33 + $21 + $20 = $74 | Pass costs $15 more |
| G. Floral Showhouse instead of the Butterfly Conservatory, plus 48-hour WEGO | $33 + $21 + $8.50 + $20 = $82.50 | Pass costs $6.50 more |
What the table shows: the three Classic attractions alone cost $79, so the Classic pass is $10 more than buying those three at the door. It pays off once you also use about $10 of the included transport. A 48-hour WEGO pass at $20 does that on its own. If you use only two of the three attractions, you lose. If Journey Behind the Falls really costs $28 at presale, the margin shrinks to $5 in scenario C.
A tax caveat: if the $89 already includes HST while the standalone prices do not, the fair comparison adds 13% to the standalone total. The three attractions then cost $79 x 1.13 = $89.27, a dead heat with the pass before transport. We do not know which applies, which is a reason to treat scenario A as "about even".
Children: the pass child price was not found, so we cannot compute a family break-even. The standalone child prices for the same three attractions add up to $21.50 + $13.50 + $16.50 = $51.50. Find the child pass price at checkout before deciding.
Plus ($109)
| Scenario | Working (adult, before tax) | Result against $109 |
|---|---|---|
| Three $33 attractions (Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara Takes Flight, Power Station + Tunnel) | $33 + $33 + $33 = $99 | Pass costs $10 more |
| Add White Water Walk (four attractions) | $99 + $21 = $120 | Pass saves $11 |
| All five Plus attractions (add Whirlpool Aero Car) | $120 + $25 = $145 | Pass saves $36 |
| Same five, Journey Behind the Falls at the presale $28 | $145 - $5 = $140 | Pass saves $31 |
Plus pays off at four attractions, even before counting two days of buses and the shuttle. If you only want Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara Takes Flight and the Power Station, you are $10 better off paying separately. Power Station + Tunnel takes about two hours, Journey Behind the Falls and White Water Walk about an hour each, and Niagara Takes Flight about 35 minutes, so four attractions is roughly 4 hours 35 minutes of visit time by the Niagara Parks figures, not counting travel.
Premium ($129)
| Scenario | Working (adult, before tax) | Result against $129 |
|---|---|---|
| The five Plus attractions | $145 | Pass saves $16 |
| Add Butterfly Conservatory and Floral Showhouse | $145 + $25 + $8.50 = $178.50 | Pass saves $49.50 |
Premium wins once you do all five Plus attractions, saving $16 before transport, and $49.50 if you add the Butterfly Conservatory and Floral Showhouse. The four heritage sites are priced between $7.75 and $15 each according to the presale list, but we did not capture the price per site, so we do not count them. Most visitors will not use them, so do not buy Premium for the heritage sites unless you plan to go.
Adding the boat
The boat is extra under every tier. A day that pairs the Classic pass with a Canadian boat ticket costs $89 + $47.95 = $136.95 per adult before tax, plus 13% HST on the boat ($6.23). Niagara Parks does not say how it handles rain-affected visits on pass attractions, and several are outdoor or seasonal, so ask.
The time left on the 2026 pass is short. Today is October 17, and the pass ends November 1, 15 days away. No 2027 pass has been published.
Discounts on the boat tours themselves
- Niagara City Cruises: no student or senior discounts. No gift cards are sold or accepted. Groups of 20 or more contact the operator. A search-engine summary reports a free ticket for an accompanying support person; confirm that with the operator before relying on it.
- Maid of the Mist: adult, child 6 to 12 and under 6 free. No senior or family prices listed, and no combo tickets on the pricing page.
- Maid of the Mist group rates: US$27.25 adult, US$18.00 for grades 1 to 8 and US$19.75 for grades 9 to 12, with free tickets for one adult per 20 and one chaperone per 15 students. Education rates apply in set windows.
- Children's age bands save money: 5 and under are free on Maid of the Mist and 2 and under are priced free by Niagara Parks for the Canadian boat, although the operator says every rider needs a ticket.
- Ontario residents can buy an All Lots Parking Pass for $50 (two vehicles, valid to December 31, 2026). It is a parking product, not a boat discount.
What is not a discount
- The Niagara Falls Pass: it excludes both boats.
- The Clifton Hill Fun Pass ($34.95 adult, $22.95 child 12 and under): it does not include the cruise.
- The Skylon Tower ride ($18 adult, $9 child) and the SkyWheel ($15 adult, $7 child plus HST): neither is bundled with the boat in any combo we found.
- A reseller's struck-through 'was' price or a 'from' price. The posted fares are the benchmark.
- A day-tour 'VIP boat access' line. Our Toronto day tour sells the cruise as an optional add-on at C$47.95 for adults; see our day tour with boat ride page.
- Old blog prices. Many show fares from 2013 to 2019.
If you are X, do Y
- One adult, boat plus Journey Behind the Falls only: skip the pass. Pay the two fares separately ($33 + $47.95, plus tax).
- Two days on the Canadian side with three Parks attractions and buses: Classic is about even to $30 ahead, depending on what transport you use.
- Four or more Parks attractions: Plus or Premium beats paying separately on the published numbers.
- A family with children: find the child pass price first, then run the same sums using child standalone prices.
- US side only: the pass does not apply. Maid of the Mist and Niagara Falls State Park attractions are priced separately.
Searching for the Adventure Pass?
If you came looking for the Adventure Pass, the 2026 product is called the Niagara Falls Pass, with Classic, Plus and Premium tiers. Older Niagara Parks URLs and ticket-agency pages still carry the old name, and they appear outdated. Check the dates and prices before you buy. Our first-time visitor guide shows how the pass fits into a plan.
What the sources do not say
- Whether pass prices include tax, and the child pass price.
- Why Journey Behind the Falls shows $33 on its page and $28 on the presale list.
- Which WEGO stop is closest to the Niagara City Cruises dock.
- Whether a 2027 pass will exist, or what it will cost.
- Whether Rapidsview Lot C is open daily through to November 1; a search summary says its season is shorter.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Niagara Falls Pass include the boat tour?
No. None of the three 2026 tiers (Classic $89, Plus $109, Premium $129) includes a boat tour on either side. Niagara Parks lists the pass for its own attractions, and the Canadian cruise is run by a separate operator, Niagara City Cruises, and sold separately.
Is the Niagara Falls Pass the same as the Adventure Pass?
The 2026 product is called the Niagara Falls Pass, and it replaces the old Adventure Pass name. Some older Niagara Parks URLs and ticket-agency pages still say Adventure Pass Classic. Those pages may be out of date, so check the date and the price before buying.
When is the 2026 Niagara Falls Pass valid?
From April 20 to November 1, 2026, for all tiers. Online purchases need no arrival date, and attraction admissions can be spread over any number of days before it expires. As of October 17, 2026, only 15 days remain. Pass dates for 2027 have not been published.
Are there senior or student discounts on the boat tours?
Niagara City Cruises says there are no student or senior discounts. Maid of the Mist's pricing page lists no senior or family prices, only adult and child fares. Group and school rates exist at Maid of the Mist, and groups of 20 or more can contact Niagara City Cruises.
Is the Niagara Falls Pass worth it?
It depends on how many attractions you visit. On the published numbers, the Classic pass at $89 beats paying separately only if you use all three attractions plus about $10 of the transport it includes. Our break-even tables on this page show the arithmetic for each tier.
How much is the WEGO bus?
Niagara Parks lists WEGO at $16 for 24 hours and $20 for 48 hours for adults (13 and over), and $12 and $16 for children 3 to 12, with taxes included and children 2 and under free. The Falls Pass presale page shows $17 for 48 hours, so the sources disagree.
Does the Falls Incline Railway go to the boat dock?
No. The Niagara Parks Falls Incline Railway links the Fallsview area to Table Rock Centre. It does not go to the Niagara City Cruises dock. The cruise operator has its own funicular from Clifton Hill, whose current status was not confirmed.
